I trained with the London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy (LCCH) in 2004 and became a lecturer for them in the Southwest. I was a member of and a supervisor for both the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH) and the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR).

Prior to moving to France I was based in the Southwest and practiced as North Devon Hypnotherapy, I had five clinics across North Devon including residential hypnotherapist at NuBeginnings, a boutique weight loss retreat, (

I have worked with a broad variety of issues and encountered most things but specialised in PTSD, trauma and abuse and the hand to mouth coping habits that go with them, smoking, over eating and excessive drinking.

As well as a practitioner I also delivered training to organisations such as Social Services, Sure Starts and housing support groups. I am also qualified in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Eye Movement and Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am a member of The Spiritual Regression Association (SRTA) and often work with the spiritual aspects of hypnosis. I hold 1st Dan in Aikido which I have practised for over 30yrs so incorporate work with our natural energies (chi, qi, prana).
I am also trained in Aromatherapy, sports massage, holistic massage and hot stone massage. Though it may seem a broad spectrum of therapies from an holistic, mind, body spirit approach they all interrelate so that the well-being of a patient is treated on all levels, bring them back into balance and harmony.

Prior to training as an Aromatherapist and Masseur my career has been based within the caring professions of Social Care, Early Years Education and Health. As a practitioner I worked directly with parents and their children for many years before moving on to lead, develop and manage a range of practitioners and managers from a range of disciplines. In my work I learned that whether as a parent/ carer/ partner or as a manager of staff we all have a tendency to care and prioritise the needs of others, sometimes at our own expense, never finding the time to care for ourselves.

In my varied career I have learned that with the right support, care, challenge and sense of wellbeing all people from a range of backgrounds are able to develop their individual potential and achieve far more both professionally and personally, but only when they also take the time to care for themselves.

More latterly, having experienced the benefits of massage myself, I have undertaken training in a range of massage therapies; Aromatherapy, Holistic Massage, Hot Stone Massage and Indian Head Massage, enabling me to support clients to feel relaxed and more in balance as they take on the daily challenges of life.
